Stupid Radio Comment.
The title of this blog is pretty self-explanatory, but that's because it's only going to be a very short post, and requires no big introduction (not that my titles, or indeed any titles, are particularly grand or introuctory, but you know).
Last night, I heard on The Voice, (a Danish radio station, chokablok with crappy adverts, and chart music) the song 'Paper Planes' by M.I.A, which is a great song, and I love it. Anyway, the DJ said that it was doing well in the Danish charts and even better in the UK charts. He also said that it was doing well in the US charts, but that was probably because of the gunshots used in the track. What? How stupid - and I do think 'stupid' is the right word here - is that? It just defies explanation. So I won't even try.
