I've worked with transcreation, copywriting, copy-editing, digital communication, social media, online advertising and marketing for media companies, advertising companies, design companies and technology companies. I've helped create unique tone of voice, powerful copy, strong online identities and no-nonsense copy.
I love what I do. I ended up here because I got fed up with seeing pitches, presentations and proposals sent out that were full of weak sentences, bad grammar, and bloated bullshit. I got tired of reading online (and offline) content that was confusing, careless and slapdash. I knew I could do better. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing damn well. This is how I work. If you think I sound like someone you could use, drop me a line. I'm sure we can work something out.
I'm from the United Kingdom but have lived in Denmark since 2003. Curiosity brought me here, but I stayed for the weather. I mean, I stayed for love - and not just of my better half. I stayed for the love of Copenhagen, the Danes, the strength of such a small country, the love of LEGO, of Mikkeller, and of good bacon, which is surprisingly hard to find. I was born just outside of Manchester but lived most of my life down south, somewhere between London and Brighton.
Born and raised in the country, I moved to London when I was 19, and spent 4 years waiting tables, making coffee, and having a lot of fun. It was only after I moved to Denmark that I got the urge to go to university. So I did. I studied Corporate Communication for my BA, and then Marketing Management for my MA.
On this site, you'll find a couple of blogs. One, Prattle, is supposed to be full of interesting things that are (vaguely) related to my work, but in some cases I fail miserably (see cat GIF posts). The other blog, Jaw, is more personal. It's holidays, family trips, and that kind of stuff.
