Frank Lloyd Write on Arrogance

Good stuff.

This episode is brought to you by http://squarespace.com/blankonblank "Any man who really has faith in himself will be dubbed arrogant by his fellows" - Frank Lloyd Wright in 1957, as told to Mike Wallace Hear more outtakes and watch the full interview @ http://blankonblank.org/frank-lloyd-wright If you've ever been to Illinois, you'll know all about the defining features of its landscape - namely, that it's pretty much flat.

If you're ever in Phoenix, AZ, then pop by the David Wright house. I only saw it from the outside, shortly after it was saved from being demolished, but have every intention of going back and getting inside another time.

Grand Canyon National Park

I'm embarrassed to say I can relate to this. When I first went to the Grand Canyon at the tender age of 14, I wasn't impressed. I can't believe it now, but it just didn't really do much for me. Fast forward 18 years (oh Christ...), and I can't get enough of that big ol' hole.

Bombs Away!

Saw this film clip on reddit the other day. Shows M117 bombs falling from a B-52's bomb bay. Very cool to see it from this angle.

Last year I got up close and personal with a Boeing B-29 Superfortress, which is smaller than the B-52, but still has absolutely gigantic bomb bays. Impressive stuff.

Not many of these left

View from directly under the bomb bay. Spacious!
