Soldiers Before, During and After War

These sets of photos aren't new, but one of them popped up in my inbox today and as I haven't posted them before on my blog, I thought I would today. 

First up are Claire Felicie's Dutch Marines, 2009 - 2010 (Here Are The Young Men).

Next are Lalage Snow's Scottish troops, 2010 (We Are Not The Dead).

I doubt the photographers had any contact before their shoots, so it's quite interesting to see how they both had the same idea, bar the colour differences, and when. A fantastic record. I wish someone had done this for the world wars.
