Tamara de Lempicka

While researching for a project, I stumbled across the work of Tamara de Lempicka; a Polish Art Deco painter. My world is a better place. You can see some of her work after this entry. I absolutely love it.

I used to work in Starbucks, on Dover St. There was a tiny little art gallery just down the street, tucked away in a little corner, that used to have the most wonderful paintings. They were similar to this work, but not quite the same. I have no idea who the artist was at all, and I regret it so, so much that I never asked. I think about it a lot, and to think about something for nigh on 8 years, must mean something. In fact, one day, I'll go back there and enquire. It's daft really, it's all of one hour away and I've never done it. When I find out, I will tell you. In the mean time; look, learn and love.
