I Like...I Dislike...

I like Fiona Apple's cover of 'Across the Universe' by The Beatles. It's one of the few covers that do justice. I think.

I mean, it's a Beatles track. I didn't think I'd ever like a cover of their stuff, but here I am, years after first hearing it on the Pleasantville soundtrack, and I can't stop hitting rewind. Perfect.

I dislike, very, very, very, very much adverts for razors. Have you seen that one - FIVE BLADES ON ONE SIDE AND ONE ON THE OTHER FOR CLOSE UP - or some shit like that. Is it rocket science? It's a razor!! Be a man; use a knife.

Maybe it's something us girls will never understand. I mean, we only shave our legs, underarms and nether regions, but your face! Well that's a whole other story.

Why 5 blades? Is there more hair per square cm on a mans face than there is on a girls leg? Is the skin on a mans face more sensitive than on a girls naughty bits? Eh...I don't know... Then again, some girls buy those razors too. The 'ladies' version. Blergh.

What really gets me mad is the battery powered ones!! My God! How lazy are you?

Really, if anyone has got this far in this entry and can tell me the point of 5, no no 6 blades on a razor, and the point of batterys in a razor, then please; I beg you, tell me.

I'm very confused.

I've also moved off Fiona on to Fleetwood Mac.
