Google Maps Indoors

The nice folk over at Google have come up with another handy tool, Google Maps - indoors! Pretty useful for airports and, well, I'm not sure what else, but apparently shopping malls are on the priority list over at Google.

Pretty limited right now, I'm sure the list will grow. It'd be nice to see every (large) airport on the list, but honestl, I'm not sure what else needs to be.

Indoor Maps availability (love that IKEA is also on there):

Social Blood

I'm off to India in January for two weeks (that's not entirely relevant here I just wanted to let you all know I'll be sunning myself while you're not), and while doing some random research about jabs I came across a pretty cool initiative going on over there - Social Blood.

Social Blood is a very simple Facebook app, where users register their blood type and are directed to a group for their particular type. In this group, they can post messges asking for blood in an emergency, or help someone else out.

I love the idea of using Facebook as a platform for emergency help. There's not much going on in my blood group (0+) but I'd love to see what the 0- page is like. I've signed up just in case. You never know.

Check out Social Blood, or their Facebook page - Socialblood.org.

That's my Old Chevy

"It's not just the car. It's all the memories and the feelings - it brings all that back."

"Herb Younger thought we were a film crew documenting three generations of an American family. Little did he know, we conspired with his two sons, Jared and Derek, to return his long-lost Impala. The rest, as you'll see, is history. A 1965 Chevy Impala SS is more than a car to the Younger family, it's what binds them together. To pay for his sons' education, Herb Younger was forced to sell his beloved '65 Impala. Two decades later, they found a way to pay him back."

It's honest, it's true, and it's simple. I really like this idea.
