Two blogs about a whole lot of nothing

Did Jung von Matt Steal?

Probably. Then again, who doesn't? Isn't everything a remix? Jung von Matt's recent LEGO campaign, Imagine, shows LEGO bricks stacked up to form recognisable characters, but the image of The Simpsons has been seen before. Here.

It's from the blog Tobias & Tobias, and is included in a post about pattern recognition. Personally, I don't think JvM have committed any kind of crime. No one knows who made the photo, and while those sneaky creatives over at JvM might have nicked the idea from the photo, but they turned the idea into a brilliant campaign based on pattern recognition, or - our imagination.

It'll be interesting to see if JvM say anything about this.

The Listening Post - a Musical Poster

Thanks to Liverpool creative agency Uniform, and Bare Conductive, print is going digital. Or interactive, anyway. The Listening Post is a working prototype from this years SXSW festival that allows you to listening to clip of music directly from the poster. It can run from a single, small battery, and could be connected to Spotify, etc, so it could be updated regularly. Fascinating stuff.

Who said print was dead?
