Meme Movie Posters

Great meme movie posters by Stefan Van Zoggle (great name). Stefan says, "I took the context of the, usually short lived, internet memes and virals, and translated that to simple film poster designs. Based on exactly the same stories and content, but treating them as a full length movie posters for everyone's favourite movie company, YouTube."

I'm particularly fond of Friday. More over at Meme Movie Posters.

America in Colour from 1939-1943

I've got a big thing for America. Spent three months driving across it way back in '99 and started a love affair that I'm pretty sure will always be with me. A large part of is it for old America; ghost towns, the Depression, the 20s, the 40s, and for the South and the West. As much as it is backward in some places, in others, it's breathtakingly beautiful. I hope to be headed out there again late this year or next, and I already can not wait. Anywho, lifestory aside, these are some gorgeous photos taken by the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information. They "...are some of the only color photographs taken of the effects of the Depression on America’s rural and small town populations."

This is just a selection To see them all head to Captured: America in Color from 1939-1943.

Big thanks to Jennie.
