Community has just earnt a permanent place of respect with me.
The writers have spent three years working in a Beetlejuice gag into the show, and it's just golden. Over the last three seasons, they've worked the word 'Beetlejuice' into the script (rather well, I might add), and on the third mention...well, what happens is what has to happen. Check it out below.
I'm a huge fan of Beetlejuice, often claiming it's my favourite film of all time as I could watch it over, and over, and over again, regardless of my mood, and although I've only watched the first season of Community, I would consider myself a fan. Taking social media jobs to another level, GE are on the look out for an 'instagrapher'. See what they did there? Those crazy folks. Yes, you could be flying over to the UK (or jumping on a bus if you're already there, presumably) to take hipster-retro photos of a world-class GE jet engine facility.
To enter, all you have to do is shoot some photos inspired by the four ways GE works (moving, curing, powering, and building - as if you didn't already know), and give them the hashtag #GEinspireme. They'll be entered into a gallery on Facebook where they will be voted on by the masses.
It sounds like a pretty cool gig, and I love that they're really maxing out Instagram, and combining it with Facebook (which, let's face it, is pretty much mainstream and a given now, but it's still cool). Good for you GE.
Although I'm an Android user and a Samsung owner, this ad doesn't make me particularly proud. In fact, I'd say it's verging on pathetic. It's all good and well to think that iPhone people are really, really weird to queue overnight for a phone, but to blatantly take the piss like this? Meh... The only reason it's worth a post is due to the lines:
