Squarespace and Dedication

My blog is hosted by Squarespace. I've always liked them, part due to the platform (very easy and very customisable) and part due to the amazing customer service. I've always had very prompt replies, and also very helpful ones. I'm a big fan. 

I was even more pleased when I got a very nice email just before Sandy hit telling me that things might go wonky, but that they were working on it as best they could, however, I really didn't expect them to be running buckets of fuel up 17 floors to power the generators, all day and all night. But, that's just what they've been doing. Now that, my friends, is dedication.

The History of Film

Er...you know, I think I'll just copy/paste the explanation. "This graphic chronicles the history of feature films from the origins in the 1910s until the present day. More than 2000 of the most important feature-length films are mapped into 20 genres spanning 100 years. Films selected to be included have: won important awards such as the best picture Academy Award; achieved critical acclaim according to recognized film critics; are considered to be key genre films by experts; and/or attained box office success." It's created by Larry Gormley and is pretty damn cool.
