I wanted to be Swedish once. I used to hang out with a lot of Swedes and was often asked if I was Swedish. My friend, Johanna, taught me how to say, "No, but I'm working on it!" in Swedish as a reply. I thought I was very funny but most of the time I just couldn't say it correctly and I'd just get a confused look. Funnily enough it's the same confused look I get from Danes when I try to speak Danish to them. Oh well.
