My personal favourites are 'age-tori' (Japanese - to look worse after a haircut (something we've all tried)), 'walderinsamkeit' (German - feeling of being peacefully alone in the woods), and 'vomitorium' (Latin - a room for vomiting).

For Julian Charriere and Julius von Bismarck's piece in this year's International Architecture Exhibition (Venice Biennale), they made a pigeon trap which, once the unsuspecting pigeon had be lured in, would spray paint it in various colours. The pigeon was then released to display its new plumage. It has been tried out in Copenhagen before, and has now entered 'phase two' which I think is doing the same thing but in Venice. Anyway, the pigeons look nice (although it does bring up questions of cruelty etc etc).
My arse. I'm not entirely sure this is 100% legit as A) can someone really have such a dumb idea? and B) all evidence of it now is nowhere to be found. But, from what I can tell from some links, American Airlines launched a search site for women. It's lovely and pink and simple - just what I want (image from The Consumerist).
I don't even know where to start, and don't think I really have to. I honestly think (hope) you'd be hard pressed to find a woman who would rather that site. Considering it's no longer up, maybe someone else realised that.
