Hot on the tail of their recent social media scuffle, H&M give us their Super Bowl ad. It's boring, it's Beckham (actually the same thing, now that I think about it) and resorts to the rather lame 'oh-put-it-on-someone-famous-and-people-will-buy-it' technique. Come on, H&M. You've done better than that.
So the Ferris teaser was for Honda after all. Absolutely packed with nods to the film, the ad manages to be pretty funny. But if you never saw the film, it's just a very long weird ad.
This article talks about why they (RPA) chose the Ferris theme. It makes sense - connecting with the ages who'd probably be watching the Super Bowl and giving the feel of getting out there and making the most of it. What made me think was the last line, "The final product has been a clear success, especially coming so far in advance of the Super Bowl." Do views equal success? Hmmmm.
